I hear this a lot.
“I’m confused.”
“I just need more clarity.”
“I’m not sure what to do next.”
But when I dig deeper with clients, they’re rarely confused.
They already know.
They know what conversation they’re avoiding, truth they’re dodging or action they’re delaying.
Confusion, more often than not, is protection.
A label we use to avoid naming what we already see.
Because once we admit we’re not confused… we have to decide.
And that’s the part that hurts.
Facing the truth means we might have to let go of something that’s comfortable.
End something that’s safe.
Say something that can’t be unsaid.
Courage is waiting its turn.
When we strip away the noise, what’s left is usually simple. Nope, not easy, but simple.
A quiet, unmistakable knowing of what must be done.
Maybe that’s where you are now.
Not lost. You’re just standing at the edge of a truth that asks more of you than comfort allows.
Rather than ask yourself “What’s the right choice?” Lean into “Am I willing to act on what I already know?”
By the way. Confusion isn’t the enemy. You know what is? Avoidance.
The moment you name what’s true, the fog lifts. What’s left is invariably the next right step.
