One conversation can turn a small spark into a wildfire…

I was speaking with one of my Home Straight clients this morning.

He’s building a project around getting men back into reading. It’s a simple, powerful idea that already carries a spark.

But he’s been struggling to articulate it cleanly for this first pilot. So we explored what was really behind the mission.

And as he did so, his vision began to widen.

The energy between us changed.

And the potential impact of his work expanded almost exponentially in the space of a few minutes.

Maybe you know this place? You sense there’s more in you… but the edges of that “more” are still blurry.

As we followed the thread, it became clear that his project wasn’t just about books.

It was about belonging.

Connection.

Identity.

Even bigger than that. Shifting the economic, political and social landscape.

A reminder that men and women lose themselves in roles, responsibilities, and expectations, and sometimes need a doorway back into aliveness.

That’s the beauty of Home Straight work.

We take the seed of an idea and give it space to breathe.

We nurture it; stretch it; walk around it until the smallness falls away and the true potential and desire begin to reveal themselves.

What once looked impossible suddenly feels more than possible.

What looked big becomes small.

And the potential goes sky-high.

I couldn’t help thinking afterwards… how many accomplished leaders are still carrying ideas, or desires that they’ve quietly kept contained? Ideas that, if given room, could reshape not just their work, but the legacy they leave behind.

Sometimes the limitation isn’t the idea.

It’s the boundary we place around our own impact.

If you’re in that place. Sensing a shift, a pull; sensing that something wants to expand, perhaps it’s time to explore what’s really waiting behind it.

If this speaks to you, message me privately. We can explore whether Home Straight is the right space for your next chapter.
