I’ve been noticing something curious about the moments that catch me off-guard.
Not the big crises necessarily, more like the subtle disruptions, the things that don’t quite go the way I imagined.
A conversation that lands strangely. A plan that unravels. Or a day that refuses to flow no matter how hard I try to steer it.
They always seem inconvenient or uncomfortable at first.
But then I wonder… what if they’re not?
We spend so much energy resisting anything that feels uncomfortable or unexpected. We push back against difficulty as though it’s a sign we’ve drifted off the path. And yet, those moments often carry the actual insight we’ve been avoiding.
Almost like life is gently placing a hand on our shoulder and saying, hey look.
Over time, I’ve realised the painful or frustrating moments aren’t evidence that something has gone wrong.
They’re part of a deeper pattern; one designed to wake us up. To reveal what we’ve been repeating on autopilot. To offer a choice point we rarely take when things are easy.
And here’s the gift in it.
When we see the pattern clearly, even once, space opens up a little.
I’ve noticed that a quiet freedom arrives.
It’s like a soft exhale. It reminds us that we’re not stuck, we’re simply being invited to choose again. To create rather than react and shift from the momentum of old habits into a more intentional presence.
What a blessing. Truly, what a blessing.
Because in that freedom, anything can be created.
A new way of leading. A new way of living. A renewed sense of aliveness.
So the next time life feels inconvenient or heavier than you expected, perhaps take that as a moment to pause and ask:
What if this moment is here for me, not against me? What richness is it offering?
You might find there’s more possibility here than you imagined.
