Are you being honest with yourself? | MattFoxCoaching.com

Are you being honest with yourself?

I mean full, deep, radical honesty.

About how life is going.

About what you want and don’t want anymore.

What unexplored dreams you still have.

What feels intolerable but you continue to tolerate it.

What feels like a pull but you dismiss it out of hand as impossible.

What feels like a tall order, but secretly excites the hell out of you.

Or scares you because it’s so ‘out there.’

These are all ‘calls of the wild’.

Soul signals, nudging you persistently, and ever more unsubtly the longer you ignore them.

Turn away from them and feel the weight of a life under-lived.

Ignore them and watch life bring about the lessons you need to open your eyes.

I’ve been through the doldrums, the depressions, the ignoring at my peril.

What happened?

Jobs broke down. Illness. Low energy. House moves went awry. Relationships failed. All in service of having me wake up.

I couldn’t see it at the time. Thrashing about in the pain, shame and disappointment.

But always seeing, later down the line, this was perfectly aligned to help me grow and move to the next step.

Where are you burying your head in the sand? And what might it be saying about what you really want from your life?
